Hi all! This is Trisha. I recently sent my one of my contributors, Polly, to the New York Baby Show. Polly is a mom of two girls- an infant and a 7-year-old. With that being said, she’s had plenty of experience with all type of products geared towards mom, baby and family. Below you can read about her experience and favorite products from the show! I hope you enjoy reading her post as much as I did!
I had the pleasure of attending the New York Baby Show last week. I was amazed at how much things have changed in the baby gear world since I had my first daughter almost eight years ago. I was able to test out all types of products on the market right now including a strollers, carriers, and more. There was so much to see and experience at the New York Baby Show and I want to share some of my favorites with you!
New York Baby Show Top Picks!
Love to Dream Swaddle Up
Do you have a baby who likes to be swaddled but hates having their hands trapped? Swaddle Up to the rescue! This ingenious sleepsack is wrapped comfortably snug around the baby’s body so they feel secure but allows their hands to be up near their head, putting them in a natural sleeping position.
The sleep sack comes in different stages, so when your baby decides she or he no longer wants their hands covered, you can simply unzip the shoulder “wings” so their arms can be out.4

b.box diaper wallet
When I had my first daughter, I carried a diaper bag stock full of supplies every single time I stepped out of the house. Back then, I felt that I needed every bottle of infant medicine known to mankind, plus three full changes of clothes, half a dozen burp cloths and 2 blankets whenever I took a trip to the grocery store. This time around I’m lucky if I remember to even grab the diaper bag! While at the Baby Show, I came across the b.box diaper wallet which is absolutely perfect for running errands!
No more carrying a ton of things I am not going to need. I can fit a couple of diapers, wipes plus a changing pad in this super compact case that is small enough to fit perfectly in my pocket book.

Evenflo Balance + Bottles
As an avid breastfeeding mama, I love seeing companies that are taking a step forward to help moms be successful in their breastfeeding journey. Evenflo Feeding has recently come out with a breast pump that has some great features which suction and speed control and a back up battery compartment. Another product I have come to appreciate is the Balance + Bottle which has a nipple that mimics the shape of breast while the baby is lacthed on.
This makes it easier for the baby to transition between breast and bottle. My older daughter refused a bottle as an infant and I was worried my second wouldn’t either. Luckily, she took the Balance Bottle the first time I offered it to her!
Baby Tula Free-to-Grow
Are you expecting a baby but your head spins when you start looking up baby carriers? SSC, wraps, infant inserts… There’s so much out there! It’s nearly impossible to settle for one carrier. When I was pregnant, I knew for a fact I wanted a SSC which is short for Soft Structured Carrier. I wanted something that was easy to put on and allowed me to stick my baby in and go on my merry way. Unfortunately, most SSC carriers require an extra infant insert if you would like to wear your baby in it from birth. These inserts can make the carrier super bulky and cause both you and baby discomfort. Enter Tula and the just released Free-to-Grow Carrier!
This carrier is AH-MAZING! The panel adjusts by width and height so that you can wear your itty bitty baby starting at 7 lbs all the way up to 45 lbs! It’s supportive for both mom and baby and comes in cute prints. The carrier includes a hood and one of my favorite features, a nifty little pocket on the waist band so you can stick you phone, money, keys or even a diaper! I had the opportunity to take one of the carriers from their booth for a little test ride. I was so impressed with it and seriously considering adding one to our collection!
