I’ll admit, while POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice has always been my go-to juice for mocktails and cocktails, I haven’t really cooked with POM POMS Fresh Arils! Being the mom of two little ones, I’m always keeping an eye out for recipes that my whole family can enjoy and also make for easy entertaining when we have guests. When I saw this recipe for Whole Wheat Waffles with POM POMS, I immediately knew this was something I would love to try! The recipe is quite easy, Check it out below.
Whole Wheat Waffles with POM POMS
Time to Table: 30 minutes
1½ cups POM POMS Fresh Arils
1 ⅓ cups whole-wheat flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup milk
2 eggs, separated
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups vanilla yogurt
⅓ cup honey
1. Heat waffle iron. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
2. Mix together the milk, egg yolks and oil. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites to firm peaks. Stir the milk mixture into the dry ingredients then fold in the egg whites.
3. Spoon 2 tablespoons of batter on the waffle iron for each waffle. Cook until golden and crispy. Place on a cooling rack immediately after removing from waffle iron.
