Are your kids bedtime stallers? E is a staller, big time! While some nights she’ll very easily head to bed and fall asleep without the struggle, other nights can be an epic battle! Some of her many excuses for stalling bedtime include:
- “I’m thirsty.”
- “I’m hungry.”
- “You didn’t read me a story!”
- “I didn’t brush my teeth.” (This kid LOVES brushing her teeth!)
- “I need to wash my hands.”
- “Mom! Can you cover me?” Right after I just covered her.
- “Can I sleep with you guys?”
- “I don’t want to go to bed, I’m going to have bad dreams!”
- “I need to pick out a toy/doll to sleep with!” Then 20 minutes later…
- “I don’t have any toys/dolls to sleep with!”
Netflix polled parents and did you know that bedtime excuses are universal? Apparently more than 60% of parents around the world are dealing with stall tactics before bedtime from their kiddos! Not to worry though, when bedtime negotiations don’t go smoothly, Netflix has got your back!
Netflix and DreamWorks Animation recently launched Dinotrux 5 Minute Favorites, new episodes of the latest hit that are only five minutes long! When you’re in that epic bedtime battle that doesn’t seem like it will come to end, tell your kids they can watch a whole show before bedtime! Go ahead, next time you’re in a bedtime battle let your little negotiator *think* they’re getting away with the old ‘just five more minutes’ ploy. Before you know it, those five minutes will be over and if your child is anything like E, they’ll be out like a lightin no time! 😉
Don’t forget, Kids can watch full episodes of Dinotrux on Netflix too! Just not before bed! 😉
