Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ has been our favorite family vacation spot for the last five years so when I had the opportunity to visit with my family a few weeks ago, we jumped at it! Even though this wasn’t our first trip to Morey’s Piers, we experienced many #MoreysFirsts on our visit! One of those being that it was the first time we’ve taken a trip with baby Aric who was just turning six months old at the time.
When we arrived at the Pan American Hotel, We gathered our luggage and headed to our room to get settled in. We stayed in a Deluxe Efficiency which features a queen bed, a twin bunk bed, a double sofa bed, kitchenette, and many amenities such as wi-fi. E was most excited about the bunk beds. The first night she fell asleep on the bottom bunk and the next night, she made her way to the top and slept comfortably there.
I was really impressed with the modern appliances that made me feel at home. If I wanted to, I could have made meals from the comfort of our room and if we were staying longer, I probably would have! Our room was incredible and to be totally honest, Out of all of the hotels and resorts we’ve stayed at in Wildwood, this was hands down the nicest and by far the best! We plan on staying there again in the future but would also like to stay at any of the other resorts at Morey’s which include:
- Port Royal Hotel
- Starlux Boutique Hotel
- Blue Palms Resort
- Seapointe village

We were really excited to hit up all three of Morey’s Piers which include Surfside Pier, Mariner’s Pier and Adventure Pier.
Surfside Pier has a lot of great rides for every age and is a perfect mix of both thrill and family rides. One of the newest rides to the pier is KONG, a reboot of the KONG ride formerly at Morey’s Piera. KONG was such a blast to ride for myself and E! We ended up riding it at least three times during our weekend long stay. While on the ride you circle KONG in planes that glides through the air. The riders have some control of how the plane moves which is a really neat feature of the ride.
E loves water rides and being splashed so it shouldn’t be a surprise that she went on the Zoom Phloom with her dad quite a few times. Besides for KONG, this was probably one of her favorites! Other rides she enjoyed from Surfside Pier are the Mini Tea Cups, Rockin’ Tug and surprisingly, Dante’s Dungeon which is on the spooky side!
Mariners Pier has some great rides including the Giant Wheel, Moby Dick, the Kite Flyer and RipTide which E and I went on together. Another #MoreysFirst we experienced was baby Aric’s first time on a ride! We had the chance to go on the Balloon Race ride as a family and it was great to get experience his first ride as a family.
If you are looking for thrill rides on Mariner’s Pier, the Ghost Ship, Maelstrom and Sea Serpent! Looking for rides for the little ones? Mariner’s Pier has Pink Elephants, Jack in the Box, Convoy, carousel, and so many other appropriate rides for them!
Adventure Pier features the artBox, a 10,000 sq. foot interactive artists village made 11 re-purposed shipping containers. Visitors can check out different forms of artwork including paintings and handmade crafts such as surf art, glass blowing, and more. artBOX recently started artBOX:LAB which are a variety of art classes that are taught by local artists.
While at the artBox, E took an art lesson from one of the local artists there. E and some of the other children in attendance decorated a seashell cutout by placing different colored tissue paper on the shell and using a foam brush to dab water on the tissue paper.
As for rides, there are a handful of thrill to enjoy such as the Skyscraper and The Great White which is a classic wooden coaster. There are also some family rides on the pier as well!
Morey’s Piers has two fabulous Water Parks which include Ocean Oasis Water Park + Beach Club located at Surfside Pier and Raging Waters Water Park located at Mariner’s pier. E and I had never been at a water park so this was a #MoreysFirst for us! Both water parks offer something for everyone and are very family friendly. Even Baby Aric was able to get in on the fun!
We first visited Ocean Oasis Water Park + Beach Club. Bonsai Beach is an area of the water park that is very child friendly. There are fun water jets and slides that kids can go on alone or with a parent. E and I went on a few of the water slides which was such a thrill! Looking to relax? The Endless River will keep you cool and have you flowing at a slow pace.
When we arrived at Raging Waters Water Park at Mariner’s pier, E headed right in the direction of Shipwreck Shoals and Camp Kid-Tastrophe. There, your kids will discover water guns, water sprays and different activities the entire family to enjoy!
When it comes to food, Morey’s Piers pretty much has everything your heart (and stomach) desires. We decided to hit up an old favorite, Jumbo’s, a few times during our stay in Wildwood! I’ve had quite a few dishes including the Crab Cake, the Crab roll, and Cheesesteak. Everything I’ve ever tasted from their kitchen has been nothing but delicious!
A trip to Morey’s Piers wouldn’t be complete without enjoying a bucket of Curley’s Fries. Right after watching Curley’s Fry Eating Contest which occurs annually in June, we headed to over to Curley’s on Mariner’s Pier to get a bucket of our own. You can enjoy your fries with either Old Bay Seasoning, Sea Salt or Cuban Spice seasoning or eat them plain! We prefer our Curley’s Fries with cheese.
Another great spot with delicious food and beverages is Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar and Grille. If you plan on going to Surfside Pier, definitely stop by! The story behind the name Stubborn Brothers is that the Morey brothers, Jack and Will, have disagreed on what to name the beach bar and grille over the years which is how Stubborn Brothers came about. It’s a great little place to relax while enjoying a meal or some appetizers from their impressive menu while sipping on the beverage of your choice. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed. While there, E and I munched on her plate of chicken fingers and fries while I sipped on a Pina Colada. Yum!
Other places to eat while visiting Morey’s Piers:
- Taco Joint
- Joe’s Fish Co.
- Jake’s Steaks
- La Bakerie
