One of E’s favorite things to do is dress up! From working as an Early Childhood Educator before having E, I can tell you that pretend play has many benefits and promotes imagination, social and emotional development and even problem solving skills! You can nurture your child’s imagination in many ways including encouraging them to dress up in costume.
We were recently introduced to Just Pretend Kids, a new company that makes high quality dress up costumes. These costumes inspire creativity in children and are constructed from high quality materials. We recently received some items from Just Pretend Kids Tutu Collection including:
- Chloe Fuchsia Bodysuit
- Nina Fuchsia Tutu
- Gemstone Wings in Fuchsia
- Gemstone Wand in Fuchsia
- and a Gemstone Boppy headband
E squealed with joy when I opened the box containing the Just Pretend Kids bodysuit, tutu, and accessories! She wanted to play right away! We were headed outside and the weather was perfect so I allowed E to take her new costume outside. I helped E get the bodysuit, tutu and wings on so she could and as soon as she got into the yard, she pranced around with her wand in hand. She pretended she was a “magical ballerina” (her words exactly) and gently swung her wand, spreading “magic”.
Each piece of the vibrantly colored ensemble is vary detailed. The Chloe Bodysuit features little flower and ribbon accents on each of the shoulders and ruching on the sleeves. The bodysuit itself s incredibly soft and gentle on the skin.
The Gemstone Wings part of the Gemstone Collection not only come in fuchsia but in turquoise and purple colors as well. The glittery wings have 12 gemstones in total, 6 on each wing. The Gemstone Wand and Boppy Headpiece also feature glitter but also fun fuchsia colored feathers.
The tutu from the Nina Collection is by far our favorite piece of the ensemble! The edge of the tulle is beautifully finished with sequin edges and the perfect amount of sparkle! Not only does E use the tutu for pretend play, she has also worn it at dance school! In her dance class she is allowed to wear any type of tutu and the Nina Tutu is her absolute favorite to bring into class and show off to her friends.
E also enjoys playing with the accessories by themselves. She mix and matches tutus and leotards with her wings and pretends to be many different things including a ballerina, a princess, a butterfly and more! There are so many possibilities with her costume. Another great thing about having costumes and accessories from Just Pretend Kids is that when Halloween comes along, we already have a super adorable costume she can wear for the occasion!
Just Pretend Kids offers way more than tutus though! They have animal costumes, an Enchanted Collection, infant rompers and so much more! Make sure to visit Just Pretend Kids’ website to view all of the high quality dress up costumes they have to offer! Your child’s imagination will soar with any costume from Just Pretend Kids!
