The Winter Olympics may have come to an end but we are still in the spirit of sports! This month, E has enjoyed some quality sports themed kids programming through Netflix. Some her favorite titles that she has watched with similar themes have been Angelina Ballerina: In the Wings and Caillou: Caillou Gets Active. Below, you’ll find a list of 15 movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix that help encourage conversations about inspiration and teamwork as well as motivating kids to get active! These titles will teach key Olympic lessons to your kids, all year long!
For the big kids:
1. The Short Game
2. The Kid
3. The Pistol
4. A Mile in His Shoes
5. Winning Favor
6. The Mighty Macs
7. Like Mike 2: Streetball
8. Air Bud: World Pup
9. Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch
10. Air Bud Spikes Back
And for your little ones:
1. Super WHY!: The Tortoise and the Hare
2. Curious George: George Gets a Trophy
3. Bob the Builder: The Bobblesberg Winter Games
4. Angelina Ballerina: In the Wings
5. Caillou: Caillou Gets Active
Also, to celebrate the end of the Winter Olympics, E enjoyed a fun gold medal snack which I made out of three simple ingredients: Fruit flavored roll, 2 round crackers, and some cream cheese. I’ve seen variations of this type of snack but decided to make one that thought was a tad healthier. Simply spread the cream cheese on the crackers, and add the fruit flavored roll as the gold medal ribbon. As you or your child are making the snack, you can have them count the crackers or tell you what color the fruit flavored roll is to keep the conversation going. Check ours out below!
Which of the shows listed above do you think your kids will enjoy? Did you end up watching the Olympic games with your children?
