Huge thanks to The Big Toy Book Baby Palooza who provided me with a Swag Bag containing some products mentioned below!
Last week I had the opportunity to attend The Big Toy Book‘s Baby Palooza at the Delta Children headquarters in New York City which was hosted by Joey Fortman, Charlene DeLoach, Laurie Schacht and Reyne Rice. There, attendees learned the 2013 is the year to be safety smart, Parent smart, technology smart and baby smart!
As a parent, safety is my first priority when considering a product for my child so I appreciate what these companies are doing and how they are utilizing technology in their products.
The First Years iAlert Convertible Car Seat
As soon as we got the Delta headquarters, I pretty much gravitated towards the The First Years True Fit iAlert Convertible Car Seat. This revolutionary new car seat monitoring system is designed to alert parents of potentially life-threatening situations via their smartphone if their child:
- Rides in a rear facing position not installed at the desired angle
- Becomes unbuckled while the vehicle is in motion
- Is left in the car seat when the vehicle is not in motion
- Is at risk due to elevated or freezing ambient temperature in the car seat
Pretty amazing, am I right? Can you imagine how many infants and toddlers would be saved if they were accidently left in the car?
The car seat can be used from 5 to 35 lbs rear-facing and from 23 to 65 lbs forward-facing. Other features include a removable head rest designed to help manage head control. One of my favorite features besides for the monitoring system is the no-rethread harness that is incredibly easy to adjust! You can learn more about the The First Years iAlert Convertible Car Seat on The First Years website.
The First Years iAlert Convertible Car Seat is available on Amazon and MSRP is $399.99.
I had the opprotunity to meet with Jen, a wonderful representative from Vtech. We got to check out VTech’s Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset, InnoTab 2S and the VTech InnoTab 2 Baby which I received in my awesome Baby Palooza gift bag and you can read more about it in my review!
The InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning tablet is for children ages 3 to 9 years of age and combines a photo/video camera, interactive animated e-books, creative activities, tilt sensor learning games, and a rich collection of applications. The tablet features a secure wireless connection to VTech’s app store, The Learning Lodge, where parents can browse and download e-books, music, videos and more for their child!
With these learning tablets your child will have a safe hands on experience with interactive technology which allows them to learn and play!
Both the Vtech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset and InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet are available on Amazon.
I had previously met with Cloud B representatives at the New York Toy Fair and was looking forward to seeing Cloud B again while attending Baby Palooza! I’m sure most of you are familiar with the Twilight Turtle, well, now the it is coming out with a sound option! Twilight Turtle Tunes is perfect for any child’s bedtime routine and features a pastel colored night light by projecting stars on to your ceiling through the turtle’s hard shell. Parents can control Twilight Turtle Tunes from the app which allows you to choose from a pre-set library of soothing melodies.
Another one of my favorites was the Twinkles To Go Octo which is based on the original Twilight Turtle and helps to sooth children while on-the-go!
It’s comforting to know that Delta is dedicated to safe sleep. The Delta Children’s Brand actually has eight (8) testing facilities worldwide! I hoping to visit the one here in New Jersey next month. Delta is on a mission to educate families with tips on how to create the safest sleep environment for all infants and children. You can check out their safety tips on the Delta Children website.
We actually own a Delta Children toddler bed that E has yet to sleep in but we are looking forward to transitioning her into. I loved being able to view all of the furniture that Delta Children offers and already have my sights set on what I’m going to purchase for E’s room!
I had a wonderful Experience at The Big Toy Book Baby Palooza and learned a lot smart safety and technology!
